灵隐寺始建于东晋咸和三年（公元328年），至今已有一千六百余年的历史，为杭州最早的名刹。地处杭州西湖以西，背靠北高峰，面朝飞来峰，两峰挟峙，林木耸秀，深山古寺，云烟万状。时序已进入新世纪，灵隐寺以其得天独厚的佛教文化、宏伟壮丽的殿宇建筑和秀美幽雅的自然风光，吸引着海内外游客。灵隐寺早已成为人们学佛、观光、祈福、休闲的佛教圣地。
Founded in 328A.D.，Lingyin Temple now has a history of more than 1，600years.As the earliest famous temple in hangzhou，it is located in the west side of West Lake，in face of the peak of Flying Afar and backing on the North peak.Between the two peaks，the temple is surrounded by forests with cloud and mist filled everywhere.Now with the world entering a new century，Lingyin Temple is attracting an increasing number of visitors both at home and abroad with its rich Buddhist culture，magnificent hall buildings，and beautiful natural scenery.It has long been a place of interest for visitors to learn Buddhism，look around，pray for blessings，and relax.
