宁波汤圆始于宋朝,距今已有900多年的历史。不仅味道好,而且外形美观,看起来像一个个小雪球,有些人叫它玉球。汤圆由去壳糯米做成,里面为芝麻馅。现在人们用芝麻、坚果、蟹肉做馅,这让汤圆更加美味。宁波民间每逢正月初一早晨,家家户户、男女老少都要吃宁波汤团(汤圆),以示欢乐、团圆、吉祥之意。一些海外侨胞每逢佳节,总爱吃碗汤团以寄托思乡之情。自1982年起,宁波汤团已成为浙江省向海外出口的第一个点心品种。
Ningbo Tangyuan has a history about 900years which started from Song Dynasty in Ningbo.This dumpling not only tasted good,but also looked beautiful like small little snow ball.Someone call it as jade orb.Dumpling is made from sticky rice for hull and gingili for stuffing.And people now put sesames,nuts,or crab meat inside.This makes dumpling tasted yummy,sweet,soft,and slippery.In Ningbo,on the morning of the first day of New Year,every household,men,women and children should eat Tangyuan as a sign of joy,family reunion,and auspiciousness.Some overseas Chinese during the festive season always hopes to have a bowl of Tangyuan to express their nostalgia.Since 1982,Ningbo Tangyuan in Zhejiang province has become the first overseas export of varieties of dim sum.
