Grammar Focus
(Subj.e.g.You’ll)see the official start of each millennium.
(Subj.)stand across the Prime Meridian Line and be in both eastern and western hemispheres.
(Subj.)travel through the history of stars, space and time.
(Subj.)discover Harrison’s Timekeepers and the Quest for longitude.
(Subj.)find out how famous British scientists searched for longitude to save thousands of lives at sea.
(Subj.)see where astronomers lived and worked for over 270years.
(Subj.)understand why Greenwich Mean Time is the standard time for the world.
(Subj.)why the time Ball drops at exactly 1pm every day.“广告不言,言必中的;言简意赅,言近旨远”,这是广告行文的基本要求。
Some people see a problem.Others,(see)an opportunity to triumph.(Golf篇的广告口号)省掉了第二句话中(see)。
Last admission(is)at 4:30pm.省掉了(is)。
But only after she’s_made the dinner,(has)done the washing and(has)tidied up.(本书Support Parents,Protect Children的广告)省掉了两个(has)后,句子更简洁。
Excellent communication and organization skills (are)a must.(Want Ads广告中Creative Director的一句话)省掉了(are)。
She didn’t come to the party, though we had invited her to(come).
