【摘要】：4.Thousand-Step Corridor(千步廊)On both sides along the Imperial Way，once stood the“Thousands-Step Corridor”with 110 rooms on each side.Upon reaching the south side of Chang'an Avenue，the corridors further extended to the east and the west along the red wall.There were 34 rooms facing north on each side.Altogether there were 288 rooms inside the corridor.In the early years of the Republic of China，the corridor was torn down.The rooms in the east of the Imperial Way outside the corridor were once used as rice granary of Board of Rite;the rooms in the west side timber warehouses of Board of Works.
