Between 1820s and 1920s, industrialization and urbanization, fueled by colonization and accompanied by population explosion in Europe, pushed 40 million Europeans out of Europe and migrated to the New World, where the native Indians were largely removed to reservations.

Rapid urbanization in the US lasted until around the 1950s, when the direction was reversed: over-urbanization seemed doomed to be followed by suburbanization. When cities become jammed up and choked by modern hazards, deindustrialization is inevitable. Deindustrialization eventually brought down many of the used-to-be prosperous cities in the United States.

Don’t you think it is a waste of the resources and damage to the environment, every time when you look at those abandoned buildings in those run-down ghetto areas in many of the big cities?
