学名：Phalacrocorax carbo
英名：Great Cormorant
形态：大型水鸟，体长72-87cm。通体黑色，头颈具紫绿色光泽，两肩和翅具青铜色光彩，嘴角和喉囊黄绿色，眼后下方白色。繁殖期颈及头饰以白色丝状羽，两胁具白色斑块。亚成鸟深褐色，下体污白。
虹膜绿色；上嘴黑色，下嘴灰白色；脚黑色。
分布：中国多数省份有分布。在保护区属较常见的旅鸟和夏候鸟。
习性：常成群栖息于水边岩石或水中，呈垂直站立姿势。在水中游泳时身体下沉较多，颈向上伸直。以各种鱼类为食，主要通过潜水捕食。
