学名：Aythya nyroca
英名：Ferruginous Duck
形态：中型鸭类，体长33-43cm。仅眼及尾下覆羽白色。雄鸟头、颈、胸及两胁浓栗色；雌鸟暗烟褐色，眼色淡。腰和尾上覆羽黑色。胸浓栗色，两胁栗褐色，上腹白色，下腹淡棕褐色，肛区两侧黑色，尾下覆羽白色。
虹膜雄鸟白色，雌鸟褐色；嘴蓝灰色；脚灰色。
分布：中国中部地区有分布。在保护区属罕见的旅鸟，2015年10月7日首次在双岛记录到1只。
习性：栖居于沼泽及淡水湖泊。冬季也活动于河口及沿海地区。性谨慎，成对或成小群。杂食性，以植物性食物为主。

BP: Eyes white in male and brown in female； bill bluish grey； tarsi grey.
SD: Rare migrant.One bird at Shuangdao on 7 Oct，2015 was the first record in the nature reserve.
HH: Frequents marshes and freshwater lakes， but also estuaries and coasts in winter.Shy， often i npairs or small flocks.Omnivorous， mainly herbivorous.
