学名：Pernisptilorhynchus
英名：Oriental Honey Buzzard
形态：中型猛禽，体长50-66cm。羽色变化较大。头侧具短而硬的鳞片状羽，且较厚密，头后枕部通常具有短的羽冠。上体通常为黑褐色，头侧灰色，喉白色，具黑色中央纹，其余下体具淡红褐色和白色相间排列的横带和粗著的黑色中央纹。初级飞羽暗灰色，尖端黑色，翼下飞羽白色或灰色，具黑色横带，尾灰色或白色，具黑色端斑，基部有两条黑色横带。
虹膜橘黄色；嘴灰色；脚黄色。
分布：中国各省均有分布。在保护区属很常见的旅鸟。
习性：栖息于不同海拔的森林中。集群迁徙，经过保护区在8月末到9月中下旬之间。主要以蜂类以及蜂蜜、蜂蜡和幼虫为食。
ID: Medium-sized raptor.Body length 50-66cm.Plumage variable.Short， solid and thick scale-like feathering on head sides， and short nuchal crest.Upperbody generally dark brown，head sides grey， throat white with black gular stripe.Underbody has pale rufous and white bands and thick black streaks.Primaries dark grey， tipped black.Underside of flight feathers white or grey with black bars， tail grey or white with black terminal band and two black bands at base.
BP: Eyes orange； bill grey； tarsi yellow.
SD: Fairly common migrant.
HH: Frequents forests in various elevations.Migrates in flocks， passing the nature reserve from end of Aug to mid-/late Sep.Feeds mainly on bees and wasps， honey， beewax and larvae.
