学名：Larus cachinnans
英名：Yellow-legged Gull
形态：大型水鸟，体长55-68cm。成鸟繁殖羽头、颈和下体至尾羽白色，肩、背及翼上灰色，与黑色翼尖对比明显，次级及三级飞羽后缘白色。停栖时黑翼尖超出尾羽甚长，有明显白斑。 非繁殖羽头后有稀疏暗褐色纵纹。第一年冬羽嘴粉褐色，先端黑色。全身大致污白色，具暗褐色斑点，尾羽黑色。第二年尾基、前额和下体白色。
虹膜黄色；嘴黄色，下嘴先端具红斑；脚浅黄色。
分布：中国东部及沿海地区有分布。在保护区属常见的冬候鸟。
习性：夏季栖息于苔原、河流、湖泊、海岛等地，冬季主要栖息于海岸及河口地区。松散的群栖性。主要以鱼和水生无脊椎动物为食。

BP: Eyes yellow； bill yellow， with red gonys spot； tarsi pale yellow.
SD: Common winter visitor.
HH: Breeds in tundras， rivers， lakes and offshore islands.Winters at coasts and estuaries， in loose flocks.Feeds mainly on fish and aquatic invertebrates.
