形态：小型鸟类，体长14-17cm。雄鸟上体橄榄褐色，眉纹和颧纹白色，颏、喉红色，外面围有一圈黑色，极为醒目。胸灰色，腹白色。雌鸟颏、喉白色，胸沙褐色，具棕白色眉纹和颧纹。

虹膜褐色；嘴深褐色；脚粉褐色。

分布：常见于中国东部及南部地区。在保护区属常见的旅鸟。

习性：栖息于低山丘陵和山脚平原地带的次生阔叶林和混交林中，鸣声悠扬婉转，悦耳动听，富有颤音。主要以昆虫为食。
