高中英语“新课标”教学案例设计

【摘要】:本课是人教版高中英语高二选修VII第二单元课后阅读的教学设计。学生带着任务学习,在完成任务的过程中体验学习方法和解决问题的过程,为今后自学能力的培养奠基。Several minutes later,answer the question:What’s the passage about?阅读课最重要的是培养学生的阅读理解能力,用英语去完成教学任务。在这节课我主要克服了传统的教师讲、学生记的弊病,引导学生学会思考、学会发现、学会表达,较好地体现了学生的主体作用和教师的主导作用。

新一轮高中课程改革呼唤教师改变角色,呼唤教学改变方式。本案例想在这方面谈点个人的做法。

教学背景

教学对象是高二学生。经过高一一年的学习,我发现大多数扩招的油田子弟不光基础差,自学能力和学习自觉性也很欠缺,等、靠老师讲的现象很普遍。如果能教会学生学习,或许能提高他们的学习兴趣,从而提高他们的学习技能和学习成绩。

教学设计

一、教材分析

本课是人教版高中英语高二选修VII第二单元课后阅读的教学设计。本单元的阅读课文选自杂志,在必修V第四单元Making the News中曾介绍过此类文章的阅读方法:如如何找主题段、主题句;如何找寻所需信息等。本课要求学生自读,体验该读法并掌握文章要点,完成课后练习。

二、学生分析

掌握文章要点大多数学生都能做到,但具体到练习二细节的把握和个别词组、句子的理解,学生的接受能力不同,教学设计也要根据学生实际分不同层次,这样才能面向全体,让大多数学生有所获。

三、设计思路

本节课采用任务型的教学途径,即每一环节都是老师下达学习任务和要求,学生通过自学、合作学习方式完成,老师在必要之时加以点拨。学生带着任务学习,在完成任务的过程中体验学习方法和解决问题的过程,为今后自学能力的培养奠基。

四、教学教案

Unit 2 Reading Task(page 57)

Teaching aims:

1.To strengthen students’ability of grasping the main idea of the passage.

2.To learn to work with others.

Teaching important and difficult points:

1.Make sure students know how to find the key paragraph of the passage and key sentence of each paragraph.

2.Enable students to underline the difficult parts.

3.Make sentences using some phrases.

Teaching methods:

Reading silently and loudly,discussing in pairs or small groups

Teaching aids:

Multi-media Aid.

Teaching procedures:

Step 1 Revision:

We have learned“Making the News”.Now who can tell me how to find the key paragraph in the form of news?(the fold paragraph,always in the front of the passage).Yes,we can get the main idea at the beginning of the news.Today we’ll read a passage adapted from a magazine.Now please read the first paragraph and tell us:What’s the passage about?

Step 2 Fast reading

Several minutes later,answer the question:What’s the passage about?S1:about landmines.

S2:about how to dig landmines.

S3:about the dangerous of landmines.

T:What does picture 2 mean?Can you read some sentences from the text?

S4:picture 2 is about robot.

S5:is about a new robot.

T:What can this new robot do?

S6:can dig the landmines.

T:Good!All of you did a good job.Now this time let’s read carefully and try to get some details about the text.

Step 3 Careful reading

1.Words and phrases:

Ask students to read the passage silently and then exchange their difficulties with their partners.Give them help when necessary.

Make sentences using the phrases:by hand(手工),set…off(引爆……),go by(随着时间的推移),as well as(除了……还),build up(建立).Show some students’sentences:

1).I do my home work by hand.

2).They set off tomorrow.

3).I find him crying when I go by him.

Ask students to read and discuss the sentences,check them if necessary.

2.Finish off Exercises II(Give us the answer and tell us howdo you know.)

Ask students to answer the questions,paying special attention to:

2)How are most landmines removed today?

3)Why is this method so dangerous?

5)What is the robot able to do?

Step 4 Discussions:

1.What can we learn from the text?

2.What should we do to stop using landmines?

Better to do well than to say well.说得好不如做得好。

Be the master of yourself.做自己的主人。

Nothing is impossible for a willing heart.心之所愿,无所不成。

One cannot put back the clock.历史的车轮不能倒转。

Practice what you preach.言必行,行必果。

The values of life lies not in the length of days,but in the use we make of them.生命的价值不在于时间长短,而在于我们做了些什么。

You can use the above in your discussions.

Step 5Conclusion

Today we read the passage about robots in the fight against the landmines.I believe everyone love peace.I hope we can do something to stop using landmines in the future.Do you think so?

1.Finish off Exercises III orally.(Group 1)

2.Write a short passage about your discussions.(Group 2)
