教学内容:《英语(基础模块)》第一册(高教版)Unit 9 Unit Task

计划学时:1学时

教学目的:本单元的主题是问路与指路。通过对英文中问路、指路的常用表达方式的复习,巩固相关的的词汇及交际用语,积累语言技巧,同时增强学生说英语的自信心,培养团队合作精神。

教学重点:

1.掌握问路、指路的常见的词汇和交际用语;

2.能够就问路的话题进行简单的英文交流。

教学难点:

如何用英语合理正确地问路和指路。

教学资源:多媒体教学课件,白板,白纸,彩笔

教学后记:

Make self-introduction.

Ⅱ. Key sentences revision.

Tell Ss:“This is my first time to Fuzhou,to your school. So I can’t find the way. What should I say if I want to ask the way?” Elicit the useful expressions of asking the way.

---- Excuse me.

---- How can I get to…

---- Could you tell me the way to …

Focus Ss’ attention on the screen and practice reading these expressions. Pay attention to pronunciation and intonation.

Give some words of places to the Ss and do some substitute drills. Try to help the Ss to remember and read these expressions well.

Ⅲ. Language tips.

We know how to ask the way. If somebody asks way,how can we tell the way in English. Elicit the useful expressions of telling the way.

Practice reading these expressions and do some drills.

Listen and perform. Set the scene. Ss imagine the roads and directions in the classroom. Take turns to ask and give directions.

Today I came to you school from the medical university. Can you tell me if I stepped the right way? Let the Ss correct the mistakes in giving directions.

Game:How to find Grace?

(模仿、整合训练)

Ⅳ. Group work.

1.Focus Ss’ attention on Unit Task. Introduce places near your school to new schoolmates. Draw a map of these places and write clear directions for the places.

2.Show some maps to Ss and model how to tell the directions according the map.

3.Divide Ss into five groups and complete the tasks. Go around the class and help with vocabulary and spelling as needed.

4.Groups take turns to tell the directions according the map.

Ⅴ. Homework. To be a good tour guide.

How to get to Sanfangqixiang(三坊七巷)? Ask the Ss to prepare how to tell the way to Sanfangqixiang from different places in Fuzhou. Draw the map and write the directions.

Ⅵ. Big surprise!

Ss find the gifts by listening to the instructions given by the teacher.
