我是一位来自中国杭州的学生，英文名叫Jerry。今年的8月，我来美国印第安纳游学，现在在CFI#84School上学。我非常喜欢印第安纳波利斯，因为这里有大片的草地，舒适的空气，还有很多热情的人们。
在CFI#84School上学的两个月里，我发现了印第安纳波利斯有很多值得杭州学习的地方。在教室里，同学们可以有自己的放书包的地方，不像中国学校是放在椅子上，那样使座位变得很小，坐着不舒服；学习内容上，可以选自己喜欢的、擅长的科目，可以更好地发挥自己的特长；这里的午餐也很丰富，可以选自己喜欢吃的菜；上下学有校车接送，十分安全。同时，学校里的老师与同学都十分热情，不会因为我是一名中国人，语言不通，就不与我说话。他们会很主动地帮助我，让我更好地投入学习。
我也会写信给我家乡的市长，让他们学习你们好的地方。同时，也欢迎您到杭州来玩！

Dear Indianapolis Mayor:
Hello!
I am a student from Hangzhou, China, my English name is Jerry. This year in August, I came to Indiana Study Tour, now in CFI#84 school. I really like Indianapolis, because there are large areas of grassland, comfortable air, and passionate people.
I found a lot to learn from CFI#84 school in two months. In the classroom, students can have their own place to put the bags, unlike China is on the chair, the seat becomes very small, sitting uncomfortable; learning content, you can choose your favorite, good subjects, can better play to their strengths; lunch here is also very rich, you can choose your own favorite dish; busing to school there, is very safe. Meanwhile, school teachers and students are very enthusiastic, not because I am a Chinese, the language barrier, do not speak with me. They will be very active in helping me, so I better learn fast.
I also wrote to the mayor of my hometown, so that they learn you good place. At the same time, welcome to Hangzhou to play!

我是来自遥远的印第安纳波利斯的姐妹城市——中国浙江省杭州市天长小学的学生，我于今年8月4日开始到印第安纳波利斯CFI#84School小学上学。
在游学的这段时间里，我发现了许多值得我们学习的地方。如这边的人们都非常文明，人人都遵守交通规则，因此虽然人们都开小轿车出行，但不会出现堵车的情况；人们还十分热情，即使是陌生人也会和你打招呼；这里的治安也很好，即使车子开着窗户也没人来偷东西；政府也很为市民着想，公共设施十分齐全，公园里有很多给小朋友玩的器材，公交车上还有专门放自行车的地方，为人们的出行提供方便。
在学校，我也感受到了许多不同：上下学都有校车接送，更安全、更方便；学校里四季如春，温度适宜；还有很多课都可以自己选择，使我们有更多的自由发挥的空间……这些我都很喜欢。
另外，我还想给您与您的城市提一个建议：可以更大地发展公共交通，如在每个公交车的站点都立一块牌子，上面写着这个公交车可以去哪，经过哪些站点，要多少钱。这样可以使来波利斯游玩需要坐公交车的人们更清楚公交车的行走路线，少走弯路。

Dear Mr. Ballard:
Hello!
I am a student from Tianchang Elementary School in Hangzhou, one of the sister-cities of Indianapolis located far-away in Zhejiang, China. I started to study at the Center for Inquiry 84 School since this August.
During my stay here, I discover that there are many things that are worth to be learned from. For example, people here are very nice, and they follow rules that are necessary for an order city. People obey traffic rules, and there are no traffic jams even almost everyone has a car. When walking on the streets, even strangers will say “Hello” to you. Public order is impressive, as no one will steal things from a window-open car. The government does a lot of good things for its citizens too. I can see many well-constructed facilities for public use, and playgrounds for children to play in. One more thing that is amazing: you can put your bike in the front of a bus and travel with it! Such a good idea of providing convenience for people.
I can tell a lot of differences at school too. For example, we take school bus for schools, which I think is very safe and convenient. The temperature at school always remains warm and comfortable, like in spring. We have the freedom to choose among different classes, too. All of these are great to see and experience.
I would also like to take this opportunity to propose some ideas for you and your city. For example, a more developed public transportation system. You can consider having each bus stop a post board with information such as the destinations, each stops and also the fees for each different routes. I think, with a public transportation systems like I proposed, visitors of Indianapolis will take the advantages of convenient transportations, and enjoy themselves more when staying in Indianapolis.
After all, I want to send you a warm invitation to visit my hometown, Hangzhou, again!
